INEGI - Instituto de Ciência e Inovação em Engenharia Mecânica e Engenharia Industrial is an Organization focused on the research, technology-based innovation and technology transfer activities with a strong collaborative network with the University of Porto. INEGI is looking for two (2) Circular Economy Specialists – Life cycle assessment methodologies, under the Alliance for Energy Transition (ATE) project with the financial support of the Portuguese Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) in Component 5 referring to Mobilizing Agendas and Green Agendas for Business Innovation.

Project Description:

Assessment and development of circular economy solutions for the value chains of relevant assets in the energy transition and decarbonisation.

What is the challenge?

With the aim of reinforcing INEGI's competences in the area of Circular Economy and Sustainability, Circular Economy Consultants will be dedicated to researching, developing and applying methodologies in order to carry out the life cycle thinking assessment methodologies of products and processes.

What we are looking for?

  • Master's degree nor PhD in Engineering or in areas related to sustainability;
  • Knowledge in the area of circular economy, sustainability and decarbonisation;
  • Knowledge of life cycle assessment and life cycle cost methodologies of products and processes;
  • Knowledge of methodologies for carbon footprint and greenhouse gas emissions measurements;
  • Good use of life cycle assessment software (Gabi, Umberto, SimaPro and/or others);
  • Strong interpersonal and multidisciplinary communication skills;
  • Excellent ability to carry out independent work;
  • Excellent working, planning and organizational skills;
  • Polyvalence and flexibility to adapt to new realities;
  • Good use of MS Office;
  • Portuguese and English Language: High priority, very good level (spoken and written);
