The Polytechnic Institute of Leiria is calling for applications for a Scientific Research Grant within the scope of the project: Support Technologies in the Development of Accessibility and Equity for People with Disabilities (TADAEPD) to be developed at the School of Education and Social Sciences of Leiria (ESECS), within the scope of the Resource Centre for Digital Inclusion (CRID), funded by the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, under the following conditions:

. SCIENTIFIC AREA: Inclusive Education or Technological Education
. DESTINATORS: Master's degree holders in the area of the pedagogical use of ICT or doctoral students in Information and Communication Technologies.  
. DURATION OF THE SCHOLARSHIP: The scholarship will last for 6 months, possibly renewable until the end of the project or up to the maximum duration of this type of scholarship (whichever comes first), and is expected to start in June 2024.
. WORK PLAN: To understand the extent to which the systematic use of appropriate hardware and software contributes to the development of autonomy in people with disabilities.
. HOST AND SCIENTIFIC ORIENTATION: The work will be carried out at the Resource Centre for Digital Inclusion (CRID) - ESECS, Leiria, under the scientific guidance of Professor Célia Maria Adão de Oliveira Aguiar de Sousa. 

. FINANCIAL COMPONENTS OF THE SCHOLARSHIP: Monthly maintenance allowance of €1,259.64, according to the FCT, I.P. table of values. To this amount is added the monthly amount for Voluntary Social Insurance, if applicable, in accordance with the conditions defined in the Research Fellow Statute. The grant holder will benefit from Personal Accident Insurance during the course of the grant.
. PAYMENT: The grant will be paid monthly by bank transfer to the account identified by the grant holder.
. ACTIVITY SCHEME: Exclusivity, in accordance with the applicable regulations.
. EVALUATION PANEL: The jury responsible for assessing the applications will be made up of: Pedro Gil Frade Morouço <[email protected] > (Chairman), Célia Maria Adão de Oliveira Aguiar de Sousa and Marta Alexandra Gonçalves Nogueira (Effective Members) and Dina dos Santos Tavares and Raul de Sousa Nogueira Antunes (Alternate Members).  
. APPLICATION DEADLINE: 06 May to 17 May 2024.
SELECTION METHODS AND EVALUATION CRITERIA: The evaluation will be carried out by means of curricular analysis, interview; others, and will focus on the merit of the candidate, in accordance with the following:
    . Suitability of the field of study of the academic qualification 20% 
    . Classification of academic degree 15% . 
    . Experience/general knowledge 25% . 
    . Specific knowledge in the field 25%
. Interview 15%

Applying the following formula to calculate the final grade: NF (MC) = [AE*20%+ Cf*15% + E* 25%+ CE*25% + Ent*15% 

Note: If the candidate(s) holding a foreign qualification(s) do not present the document(s) proving, at the application stage, that the foreign degree or diploma has been recognised and that the classification has been converted to the Portuguese classification scale, the jury will establish the conversion, for the purposes of the competition only, based on the rules of the legal regime applicable to the recognition of foreign degrees and diplomas or, when impossible, will apply the minimum classification of 10 points. 
Please note that academic degrees obtained in foreign countries need to be registered by a Portuguese institution in accordance with Decree-Law no. 66/2018 of 16 August and Ministerial Order no. 33/2019 of 25 January. . ELIGIBILITY OF APPLICANTS: Without prejudice to the provisions of the rules applicable to each type of scholarship, the following are eligible for scholarships:
a) Nationals or citizens of other member states of the European Union;
b) Citizens of third countries;
c) Stateless persons;
d) Beneficiaries of political refugee status.

. APPLICATIONS | FORMALISATION AND DOCUMENTARY ELEMENTS: Applications should be addressed to the chair of the selection board and sent by e-mail to [email protected] , by sending the application form together with the following documents:
- Document(s) proving that you hold the academic degree and/or diploma(s) required in the competition, preferably indicating the final average and the marks obtained per course unit. Candidates with foreign qualifications must provide proof of their academic degree and foreign diploma in accordance with Decree-Law no. 66/2018 of 16 August. These documents may be waived at the application stage by the declaration of honour included in the application form, which can only attest to facts that occurred prior to the application, with verification of this condition only occurring at the scholarship contracting stage;
- (optional during the application phase) Document proving enrolment and registration in the cycle of studies or non-degree course indicated in the application notice;
- Candidate's updated curriculum vitae;
- Document(s) proving other assessment parameter(s) indicated in the call for applications;
- Other certifications and/or other documents considered relevant by the candidate.

. RESULTS | DISCLOSURE AND CLAIMS: The jury will send candidates the provisional results of the assessment (presented in the form of the minutes resulting from the assessment process) by e-mail no later than 90 working days after the deadline for submitting applications. Following this announcement, candidates have 10 working days to express their opinion, if they wish, on a special form available on the Institutional website and in accordance with the terms of the Code of Administrative Procedure (CPA). The final decision will be taken within a maximum of 60 working days after the conclusion of the prior hearing of interested parties, which can be appealed within 15 working days of notification to the highest executive body of the Polytechnic of Leiria. As part of the procedure for awarding the scholarship, if the duly approved final ranking list contains a number of successful candidates greater than the number of scholarships to be filled, an internal recruitment reserve will always be set up, which can be used when there is a need to fill the reserve due to the scholarship holder's withdrawal, under the terms of the CPA, to be used during the project's eligibility period.
