The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions set out in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on higher education and science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668) and the following qualification criteria:

1. Master's degree in history.

2. DSc in humanities (preferred history).

3. Proficiency in German.

4. Comprehensive knowledge about gothic neography.

5. Preferred research experience: the history of the society of Polish lands in the 19th and 20th centuries with particular emphasis on the Prussian partition and the northern and western territories of the Second Polish Republic; modernization processes in the 19th century; studies on the development of cities and communities in the context of civilization changes; an organizational and association movement of the Polish and German communities in the Prussian partition; regional studies with particular emphasis on the area of Vistula Pomerania and Kuyavia.

6. Documented scientific achievements in the field of research on the society of Polish lands in the era of modernization of the 19th century.

7. Documented active participation in national and international scientific life, cooperation with foreign and domestic research centers.
