full-time job

at the Department and Clinical Department of Internal Medicine,

Angiology and Physical Medicine

Faculty of Medical Sciences in Zabrze

Skills/Qualifications

A candidate admitted to the competition complies with the requirements of article 113 of the Academic Education and Science Act of the 20th July, 2018 (Journal of Laws 2022, item 574, as amended).

 

Qualification requirements:  

1. doctor's diploma,

2. license to practice medicine,

3rd degree of doctor of medical sciences,

4. specialization in the field of internal medicine or completed a full program of specialization training in the field of internal medicine,

5. at least 5 years of experience in clinical work in the field of internal medicine,

6. at least 4 years of experience in conducting classes with students of medicine, medicine and dentistry and emergency medical services, including English-speaking students, including issues of internal medicine,

7. scientific achievements - publications with IF score ≥ 5 or with a total ministerial score ≥ 250,

8. In the case of foreigners, knowledge of the Polish language in speech is required

and writing.

 

Specific Requirements

Required documents:

1. a written statement of will expressing the intention to participate in the competition, addressed to the Rector,

2. signed CV, professional qualifications description and course of employment (if applicable), and the statement of consent to process the personal data,

3. academic development plan,

4. personal questionnaire of the applicant seeking employment,

5. copies of documents proving the required education and professional qualifications, especially: copy of the academic diploma, the right to practice the profession, license to practice medicine, certificate on recognition of a foreign diploma as equivalent to a Polish diploma (if applicable)

6. other relevant documents proving the qualifications (list of publications quoting the IF scores, ministerial scheme, certificates held, etc.).

The expected date of closing of the competition procedure is
2 months from the date of the competition announcement

The University will contact only selected candidates.

The University reserves the right not to adjudicate the competition without giving any reason.

The result of the competition is not tantamount to employing the candidate but constitutes a recommendation in this respect for the Rector.

The final decision on employment is made by the Rector.

Information about the results of the competition will be published on the website www.sum.edu.pl , on the website of the Public Information Bulletin of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice and the minister responsible for higher education within 30 days after its completion (pursuant to article 119 point 3 of the Higher Education and Science Act i.e. Journal of Laws of 2021, item 478, as amended).

Eligibility criteria

Required statements:

statement of consent to process the personal data,

statement that, if the applicant wins the competition, the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice will be the primary place of employment, according to the Academic Education and Science Act,

statement about:

a) full abilities of legal acts,

b) enjoying full public rights,

c) not being convicted by a valid sentence for an intentional crime or an intentional fiscal offense,

d) not being punished with a disciplinary penalty referred to in art. 276 paragraph 1 points 7 and 8 of the Higher Education and Science Act.
