Key requirements
Only candidates who fulfil conditions defined in Art. 113 of The Act of 20th of July 2018 – the Law on Higher Education and Science (Dz.U.2023 no. 742 with later amendments) may apply.
Other requirements:
 PHD degree in biological sciences or a related field obtained not earlier that seven years prior to the employment in the project.
 Experience in bioinformatical and statistical analyses, particularly in NGS dana analyses, genome assembling and phylogenomics.
 Good communication skills in English.
 Scientific independence and team working skills.
Prior contact with the Project Leader prof. Krzysztof Spalik ([email protected] ) is required.

Recruitment procedure
The applications will be reviewed by the Competition Committee of the Faculty of Biology in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 106 of the Rector of the University of Warsaw from 27 September 2019, as previously mentioned. Candidates will be notified of the interview date (to be conducted online) and the results of the competition by email.
The Faculty of Biology reserves the right reply to selected applications only and to close the procedure without making a final decision.
The competition represents the initial stage of the academic teacher hiring process outlined in the Statute of the University of Warsaw, and a positive decision serves as a basis for further proceedings.
