Łukasiewicz Research Network - Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics (Łukasiewicz-IMiF) conducts the research and development in the field of advanced microelectronic and photonic technologies. It has unique technological laboratories and intellectual capital that enable it to undertake the scientific work and run the projects aimed at increasing the innovation of Polish enterprises, simultaneously creating a high-tech knowledge environment in the field of innovative materials’ production along with the technology and design of microelectronics and photonic devices, gallium nitride technology, LTCC technology, printed electronics and medical and environmental sensors. Łukasiewicz–IMiF runs numerous projects financed from domestic and foreign funds annually, the goals of which are to increase the innovation of the Polish economy.

Main responsibilities:

  • Conducting research in the field of microelectronics and telecommunications.
  • Operation of laboratory and technological equipment used in research work.
  • Planning research experiments in projects carried out within the Research Group and preparing reports.
  • Designing electronic systems, including creating PCB designs and implementing the developed solutions into the Institute's research and development activities.
  • Development and modernization of existing electronic systems.
  • Creating technical and technological documentation.
  • Conducting tests and measurements using measuring equipment and supporting software.
  • Development of measurement paths and systems for data acquisition and processing combined with the analysis and interpretation of the obtained results.
  • Creating software for microcontrollers and specialized systems using high-level languages and implementing algorithms.
  • Supporting research teams as part of the Institute's current research activities.
  • Conducting simulations in CAD software.

Skills/Qualifications
  • Master's degree or higher education and one year of experience in the R&D sector.
  • Preferred candidates with higher technical education in the field of electronics and telecommunications.
  • Experience in PCB circuit design using Mentor Graphics, KiCAD, Eagle, Altium and documentation.
  • Knowledge of issues related to analog and digital electronics.
  • Knowledge of ARM microcontrollers and experience in programming embedded systems in both C and assembly language.
  • Programming skills in C/C++.
  • Knowledge of Matlab, LabVIEW software.
  • Knowledge of data transmission issues, including: using the Bluetooth interface.
  • Knowledge of the English language at a communicative level (min. B2) and the ability to read technical documentation in English.
