Information about Łukasiewicz – ICSO “Blachownia”

Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Heavy Organic Synthesis “Blachownia” has experience in activities for the chemical industry since 1952. The research field of the Institute include scientific research and research and development works on chemical processes, in particular in the field of chemistry and organic technology. It also provides research, analytical, advisory and design services. Since April 2019 Institute is included into the Łukasiewicz Research Network – the third largest research network in Europe.

The Institute works in the areas of:

• pressure processes;
• catalytic processes;
• technology of specialized products for various industries;
• bioeconomy;
• advanced materials (including polymer ones)
• circular economy;
• analytics and measurements;
• engineering and technical;

Expected scope of duties at the workplace:

• Creative scientific activity consisting in solving scientific problems;
• Participation in the implementation of projects;
• Participation in introducing the results of scientific research or development into practice;
• Disseminating scientific achievements, including through publications and active participation in scientific life;
• Formulating research problems and adopting methods and techniques for solving them;
• Participation in the organizational work of the Institute related to the conducted scientific research or development works;

• Planning and conducting research works;
• Participation in the development of technology;
• Testing and assessment of product properties;
• Participation in commercialization of the obtained results for industrial activity.
