Offer Description
Łukasiewicz Research Network - Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics (Łukasiewicz-IMiF) conducts the research and development in the field of advanced microelectronic and photonic technologies. It has unique technological laboratories and intellectual capital that enable it to undertake the scientific work and run the projects aimed at increasing the innovation of Polish enterprises, simultaneously creating a high-tech knowledge environment in the field of innovative materials’ production along with the technology and design of microelectronics and photonic devices, gallium nitride technology, LTCC technology, printed electronics and medical and environmental sensors. Łukasiewicz–IMiF runs numerous projects financed from domestic and foreign funds annually, the goals of which are to increase the innovation of the Polish economy.
Main responsibilities:
- Conducting research work carried out in the research group
- Operation of vacuum layer deposition devices
- Operation of devices for optical and ellipsometric characterization of layers and surfaces
- Operation of optical microscopes and the Zeiss Gemini 300 SEM scanning microscope
- Carrying out works related to the so-called wet chemistry, in the field of etching semiconductor materials and structures
- Operation of devices for electrical characterization of structures

- Bachelor Degree or equivalent
Skills/Qualifications
- Master's degree or a university degree and one year's experience in the R&D sector. Preferred graduates of technical fields: physics or electronics.
- Knowledge of modeling conductor structures, including quantum wells
- Knowledge of the principles of operation of radiation detectors and sensors, as well as the basics of electrical measurements and physical quantity measurements
- Experience in characterization techniques for layers and surfaces of materials
- Analysis of the effects of e-m radiation on structures made of semiconductor materials, in particular in quantum wells.
- Precision and accuracy of measurements
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Good work organization, independence, communication skills, conscientiousness, responsibility, ability to work under time pressure
- Fluency in English
- Practical knowledge of MS Office or related office packages
- Knowledge of other programs useful for simulating and describing the operation of basic semiconductor systems or devices
