Senior Specialist

Requirements for the candidates:

• Doctorate degree in computer science, computational biology, bioinformatics (or other relevant); OR Master’s

degree and at least 2-years work experience delivering state-of-the-art AI/ML solutions.

• Documented experience with machine learning concepts, tools, and applications.

• Demonstrated advanced programming expertise in Python.

• Expert-level knowledge in at least one major deep learning framework (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow).

• Experience working with biomedical data (e.g. genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, clinical images).

• Experience with extraction, handling, and processing of large data sets. Knowledge of software engineering

and machine learning best practices, including version control, continuous integration (CI) and continuous

development (CD), containerization, High Performance Computing (HPC), and shell scripting.

• Fluency in English.

• Background or interest in biology or medicine, in particular cancer or cardiovascular diseases

pathomechanisms, is a plus but not required.

Job duties:

• Data preparation, organization, and analysis.

• Development of new and tuning of existing models and analytical approaches.

• Presentation of data and results in a clear and concise manner.

• Active participation in the group meetings and meetings with the collaborating teams.

• Liaise with experts in biology, medicine and experimentation to ensure optimal collection of data to train

biomedical machine learning models

• Ability to work with the team and independently.
