1. The requirements to be met by the candidate (detailed description of the knowledge, qualifications, skills, and professional experience):

• the title of professor in the discipline of chemical or physical sciences;

• fluent in Polish and English, both spoken and written, due to the necessity to conduct classes in both languages;

• outstanding scientific achievements in the field of organic electronics documented by publications in the best international journals;

• ability to manage the work of a research team;

• experience in managing and conducting national and international research projects.

Desired additional skills:

• experiences in leading of the project within Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe.

2. Specification of the terms and conditions of employment and authority associated with the position:

The job offer applies to the position of a full-time professor in the group of research and teaching staff at the Department of Molecular Physics, Faculty of Chemistry, TUL.

Start of work: October 1, 2022.

3. Description of the expected responsibilities and duties.

A person employed as a professor will be obliged to conduct scientific research as part of his own projects and other projects carried out at the Department of Molecular Physics, prepare applications for national and international grants, present and publish the results, and conduct ongoing reporting according to the regulations at the university and resulting from agreements with grant institutions.

The duties also include conducting classes, preparing materials and participating in other educational activities indicated by the superior or resulting from internal regulations. The employee's duties also include organizational work related to the day-to-day operations of the Department of Molecular Physics and resulting from direct decisions of the superior.

The Department of Molecular Physics (DMP) is part of the Faculty of Chemistry of the Lodz University of Technology. It is an interdisciplinary unit that conducts research on the border of chemistry, physics, and materials science, including nanotechnology. Currently, the main subject of interest includes physics of organic solids, physics and physical chemistry of polymers, including:

- electrical and optical properties, conductivity and photoconductivity of polymers;

- electroluminescence and luminescence of organic materials;

- molecular spectroscopy of polymers;

- polymer hydrogels sensitive to stimuli;

- organic semiconductors and conductors, molecular crystals;

- physical methods of polymer modification, new methods of producing composites;

- thin layer technologies;

- modeling the dynamics of macromolecules.
