Offer Description

We are looking for a researcher who will work in our Institute with ecology of large forest mammals, with particular emphasis on predator-prey interactions and assessment of the natural effects of human presence on natural resources within protected areas.

Skills/Qualifications
  • Possessing knowledge and skills in terms of:
    • ecology of large forest mammals, with particular emphasis on predator-prey interactions,
    • assessment of the natural effects of the large predators and ungulates functioning in forest ecosystems and analysis of their impact on forest management,
    • assessment of the natural effects of human presence on natural resources within protected areas,
    • knowledge of the biology and ecology of large predators and ungulates,
    • forest education regarding threats to forest ecosystems,
    • ability to independently plan and conduct field and laboratory work,
    • fluency in the MS Office, Statistica, ArcGis and QGis,
    • analysis of research results using statistical and geostatistical methods,
    • preparation of scientific publications, presenting research results at scientific conferences,
    • knowledge of English at C1 or C2 level, knowledge of other languages is welcome; in the case of foreigners, fluent knowledge of the Polish language is required,
    • submission / handling / participation in research topics from a variety of funding sources.
