The International Center for Translational Eye Research (ICTER) is a multi-investigator center for eye research related to imaging and biochemical techniques to support advances in understanding the etiology and treatment of human blinding diseases. The Computational Genomic Group is led by Dr Marcin Tabaka (PI) and initially will comprise the following staff (1 postdoc, 1 research specialist, 4 PhD students and a lab manager). The group will leverage high-throughput single-cell multiomic profiling (RNA , ATAC, ChIP) to address fundamental questions in eye research (http://www.scg-lab.com ).

The Institute is seeking applicants for the Research Specialist position in Molecular and Cellular Biology, experienced in scientific activity who will be expected to develop and perform research.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing and reporting progress of laboratory work

  • Active participation in a creation, and management of grant applications

  • Preparation of oral and graphical presentations, manuscripts

  • Maintaining institutional protocols for lab, experiments and animal work

  • Ordering of lab supplies and reagents

  • Supervising students
