Łukasiewicz Research Network – Krakow Institute of Technology is a part of the Łukasiewicz Research Network, the third largest research network in Europe. The Łukasiewicz Research Network is an integrated market player providing attractive, complete and competitive business solutions in the areas of automation, chemistry, biomedicine, ICT, materials and manufacturing technologies. Intelligent and clean mobility, sustainable economy and energy, digital transformation and health are our key development directions of strategic importance for the Polish economy.
Currently, as part of the research and development activities of the Center for Biomedical Application Technologies, the Institute is looking for a candidate to implement in cooperation
with the Jagiellonian University implementation doctorate in the topic: Flow reactor prototype for in situ testing of chemical reactions involving chiral reagents. As part of the project, it is planned to construct a thermostatic flow reactor that will enable the study of chemical reactions involving chiral reagents in situ. The reactor will be adapted to research using chiroptical spectroscopy, in particular Raman optical activity (ROA) and electronic circular dichroism (ECD) which enable measurements in an aqueous environment. The constructed measurement system will be optimized and used for the analysis of exemplary chemical reactions involving chiral reagents. The start of education at the Doctoral School is planned for 1st October 2022.
