DESCRIPTION (field, expectations, comments):

A person applying for this position must meet the requirements set out in Art. 113 of the Act of July 20, 2018 Law on higher education and science (Journal of Laws 2018, item 1668, as amended), in the Statute of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW Department VIII)

The candidate should have a master's degree in agricultural sciences in the field of food technology and human nutrition and a doctoral degree in agricultural sciences in the field of food and nutrition technology and be prepared to conduct teaching classes in Polish and English. In-depth knowledge of human nutrition issues is required, with particular emphasis on aspects related to: nutritional epidemiology, methodology of nutritional research, dietary intervention studies, nutrition of the elderly

The candidate is expected to have:

  • documented scientific achievements consistent with the unit's profile in the form of publications in renowned scientific journals, at least 9 publications in scientific journals indexed in the JCR database, published in 2019-2023 with an Impact Factor of at least 50.0;
  • proven experience and collaboration with  international scientific centres;
  • minimum 4 years of experience in teaching activities in the field of various aspects of human nutrition; experience in teaching: nutrition of the elderly, nutritional epidemiology and methodology of nutritional research will be an additional advantage;
  • training / courses in the field of human nutrition, including nutrition of the elderly and advanced statistical methods used in epidemiological research; training / courses in the preparation of scientific publications will be an additional advantage;
  • experience in the use of advanced methods in epidemiological research (including statistical methods);
  • proven experience in presenting research results at international conferences;
  • good knowledge of Polish and English, spoken and written, enabling classes to be conducted;
  • computer skills in the field of MS OFFICE programs, statistical programs (STATISTICA, STATA), and programs for calculating the nutritional value of food rations (DIETA 6.0).

An additional advantage of the Candidate will be the documented authorship / co-authorship in the didactic publication.

The duties of a person employed as a research and teaching assistant professor include: developing programs and conducting teaching classes, participating in research work, preparing scientific publications, supervising diploma theses, and participating in organizational activities.
