The University of Warsaw announces a competition for the position of assistant professor (full-time, fixed-term, research position) to work in the scientific project „Reducing climate based health risks in blue environments: Adapting to the climate change impacts on coastal pathogens” (BlueAdapt) under the direction of Prof. Mikołaj Czajkowski.

The BlueAdapt project brings together an interdisciplinary team of biologists, climatologists, economists, epidemiologists and health experts to investigate and quantify future health risks associated with selected coastal pathogens. The study will conduct laboratory experiments and simulations on how changes in climate variables, in interaction with other environmental changes, may affect the status of selected microbial pathogens of public health concern in coastal waters.

Job Description:

The duties of the hired candidate include:

- collaborating with the project manager in developing methods to achieve project objectives,

- coordination, planning and supervision of the work of the research team, including quantitative and qualitative research,

- presentation of results at seminars and conferences,

- preparation of scientific articles,

- communication with stakeholders.
