OFFER DESCRIPTION

Applications are invited for a Research Assistant position in the Department of Analytical Chemistry and Biochemistry at the AGH University of Science and Technology. The appointed candidate under the supervision of Prof. Beata Paczosa-Bator will be involved in the conduction of the electrochemical research and the dissemination of study findings. Main Duties:

  • design, construction and application of electrochemical sensors
  • planning experiments, developing and validating analytical procedures
  • electroanalysis of ionic analytes
  • preparation and submission of scientific research papers
  • presentation of research results at scientific conferences

    Chemistry: Master Degree or equivalent
    Other: Master Degree or equivalent

  • REQUIRED LANGUAGES
    POLISH: Excellent

Skills/Qualifications

  • completed studies in Chemical Technology or related (graduation with honors appreciated)
  • PhD degree or participation in doctoral studies or doctoral school
  • knowledge and skill of practical use of modern techniques of chemical instrumental analysis,
  • in-depth knowledge of potentiometry and experience in working with potentiometric sensors
  • experience in implementing nanomaterials (especially metal oxides) in solid state sensors
  • knowledge of spectroscopic methods, especially fluorescence spectroscopy
  • experience in planning experiments, developing and validating analytical procedures
  • completed scientific internship,
  • scientific achievements in the field of solid state potentiometric sensors supported by at least 9 scientific publications in journals indexed in the JCR database (Hirsch index at least 4)
  • active participation in scientific life expressed by participation in research projects and the presentation of research results at national and international scientific conferences (awarded presentations appreciated)
  • experience in the implementation of research or research and development projects
  • experience as a member of the conference organizing committee


Specific Requirements

  • knowledge of Origin, Nova and L-EMF DAQ
  • knowledge of the English language at a level of at least B-2, enabling fluent use of scientific literature
  • good manners
  • compliance with generally accepted ethical standards
