OFFER DESCRIPTION

Applications are invited for a Research and Teaching Assistant position in the Department of Inorganic Chemistry at the AGH University of Science and Technology. The appointed candidate under the supervision of Prof. Krzysztof Wojciechowski will be involved in the conduction of the research on thermoelectric materials, dissemination of study findings, and conducting didactic classes in the field of chemical sciences. Main Duties:

  • synthesis, treatment and analysis of thermoelectric materials
  • planning experiments, developing and validating obtained results
  • preparation and submission of scientific research papers
  • presentation of research results at scientific conferences
  • independent conduction of didactic classes in the field of chemical sciences

Documents required:

1. application, CV, personal questionnaire

2. copy of the university diploma

3. document confirming the award of the PhD degree or the confirmation of obtaining two positive reviews of the doctoral dissertation

4. report on scientific and didactic activity

5. list of publications, citation index according to the Scopus or WoS database.

If the documents are submitted by e-mail, the aforementioned all documents must be printed, signed, scanned and sent in PDF format.

  • REQUIRED EDUCATION LEVEL
    Other: PhD or equivalent

Skills/Qualifications

  • doctoral degree in engineering and technical sciences in the discipline of materials science, or two positive reviews of the doctoral dissertation
  • knowledge of methods of measuring thermal and electrical properties of materials, in particular thermoelectric materials
  • experience in planning experiments, developing and validating analytical procedures
  • competences to work in team as part of national and international research projects
  • internship at a foreign research unit
  • active participation in scientific conferences
  • ability to independently conduct didactic classes in the field of chemical sciences


Specific Requirements

  • completed pedagogical course
  • knowledge of Origin software
  • knowledge of the English language at a level of at least B-2, enabling fluent use of scientific literature
  • immaculate manners
  • compliance with generally accepted ethical standards
  • LANGUAGE: Polish

LEVEL: excellent or mother tongue
