Offer Description

The Faculty of Architecture is seeking a candidate for the position of Research and Teaching Adiunct, in the Department of Architecture and Visual Arts, in the team of Residential Architecture Design in the discipline of Architecture and Urban Planning. The employee will be entrusted with teaching, research (artistic) and organisational responsibilities, primarily for the benefit of the Department, the Faculty and the University. The position involves active cooperation in the exchange of professional (design) experience, as well as conducting and publishing scientific research.

The competition is open to candidates who meet the conditions set out in the Act of 20 July 2018. - Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2022, item 574, as amended) and the Statute of Wrocław University of Science and Technology.

Completed higher education in the field of architecture and other additional education relevant for the assigned tasks, e.g. in social sciences.

Possession of a doctoral degree in the discipline of architecture and urban planning. Awards and honors received for the doctoral thesis will be an additional advantage.

Design license in architectural specialty without limitations and at least 10 years of extensive design experience in the design of residential, educational, public and industrial buildings.

Proven professional experience in architectural design in the spirit of sustainable development. 

Advanced level of computer-aided design, proficiency and experience in designing using BIM.

Proficiency in architectural design to teach Architectural Design 3-5 in Polish and English.

Experience and competence in community activation in architectural design are welcome.

Teaching experience and documented teaching achievements, as well as other organizational, didactic and workshop activities, are welcome.

Documented improvement of own qualifications, including teaching competencies. Training and experience in working with people with special needs, in mental health crisis is welcome.

Documented professional - project achievements (participation and cooperation in national and international competitions, as well as awards received).

National and international cooperation in gaining experience and professional practice (teaching and in architectural design).

Fluency in spoken and written Polish.

Fluency in spoken and written English (including scientific and technical) documented by a certificate (min. B2) or experience working in foreign architectural offices (min. 6 months).

Completed Higher School Didactics course with a certificate.

Documented scientific and research achievements - authorship or co-authorship of scientific publications (articles, chapters in peer-reviewed scientific monographs, conference proceedings), including at least two from the list of MEiN (min. 70 points), with OpenAccess and in English.

Documented participation in research projects related to the scope of the course Architectural Design 3-5.

Documented organisational and popularizing activity, both through academic and professional actions (organizing and conducting design and art workshops, seminars and exhibitions, leading a study circle).

Documented active participation in national and international conferences (delivered speeches, posters).

Documented cooperation with a foreign research and/or design center is welcome.

Experience in efforts to establish collaborations in the R&D sector is welcome.

Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills required.

Those interested will be able to collect them from the Human Resources Assistant within 6 months after the closing of the competition.

The University reserves the right not to close the competition.
