Rector of the University of Economics in Katowice announces a competition for the position of...

The competition is open to persons who meet the requirements specified in Articles 113 and 116(2) of the Act

of 20 July 2018. Law on Higher Education and Science (i.e. Journal of Laws of 2022, item 574, as amended) and in § 90, 92 - 94 of the Statutes of the University of Economics in Katowice, and also meet the following qualification criteria:

- have at least a Master's degree, Master of Engineering or equivalent in the field/discipline of economics or finance,

- have predispositions to research work confirmed by the opinion of a person holding the title of professor or the degree of doctor habilitowany

- have attached a list of publications or a concept for a scientific article on issues related to the scientific interests of the unit (Chair of Strategic and Regional Studies

(Chair of Strategic and Regional Research),

- have a scientific development plan for the next two years,

- speak at least one modern foreign language,

- have indicated the University of Economics in Katowice as their primary place of employment within the meaning of the provisions of the Law on Higher Education and Science,

- graduation from a Master's course or equivalent studies within the last 5 years from the calendar year of announcing the competition will be an additional asset,

- a course of study related to real estate will be preferred,

- postgraduate studies in real estate appraisal will be an asset,

- leading or taking part in works for development of students' interests, e.g. within scientific circles, will be an additional asset,

- practical experience in the real estate market confirmed by at least one year of work contract / contract of mandate with an entity operating in the real estate market will be an asset,

- possession of achievements in the form of published scientific articles or scientific articles submitted to publishers on topics related to real estate management will be an additional asset.

The person employed as assistant in the Department of Strategic and Regional Research at the Faculty of Economics will be responsible for performing tasks related to: teaching students of the University of Economics in Katowice, scientific development and scientific and research activities,

including cooperation with scientific institutions and entities from the business environment in terms of achieving the objectives of the Department and the University, organisational activities for the Department/University and other duties assigned by superiors.

Planned date of employment: 01.09.2022.

Type of contract: fixed-term employment contract

Planned period of employment: 2 years

Gross basic salary:

assistant (full-time, basic workplace) - PLN 3,720 (in words: three thousand seven hundred and twenty)

Deadline for submitting documents: from 05.07.2022 to 19.07.2022.

After preliminary verification of the submitted offers, interviews with the selected candidates will be held from 25.07.2022 to 29.07.2022.

Settlement of the competition will take place by: 29.07.2022 r.

The University reserves the right not to settle the competition without giving any reason. The result of the competition is not tantamount to employing the candidate, but constitutes only a recommendation to the Rector. The final decision on employment is taken by the Rector.

* In the case of providing personal data in a broader scope than stipulated in Article 22¹ § 1 of the Labour Code (i.e. providing additional personal data beyond those required), the candidate should attach a clause on consent to the processing of personal data contained in the application documents for the purposes of the recruitment process.
