he competition is open to persons who meet the requirements set forth in Articles 113 and 116(2) of the Law
of July 20, 2018. Law on Higher Education and Science (i.e., Journal of Laws of 2022, item 574, as amended) and § 90, 92 - 94 of the Statute of the University of Economics in Katowice, and meet the following eligibility criteria:
- have at least a university diploma with a professional degree in Italian philology and documented qualifications for teaching French,
- have knowledge of Italian for business purposes,
- have at least two years of teaching or training experience,
- in the case of foreigners, it is required to demonstrate knowledge of the Polish language,
- have indicated the University of Economics in Katowice as their primary place of work within the meaning of the provisions of the Law on Higher Education and Science,
- experience in curriculum development will be an added advantage,
- preparation for teaching work (pedagogical studies, trainings, courses, workshops) will be an additional advantage,
- ability to translate specialized texts will be an additional asset,
- knowledge of the basics of the functioning of selected areas of the economy (economics, management, finance and insurance, computer science) will be an additional asset,
- experience in organizational work will be an additional asset.

The person hired for the position of Italian language teacher (with authorization to teach French) at the Foreign Language Center will be responsible for carrying out tasks related to: teaching Italian and French, developing - to the extent necessary for the teaching process - teaching materials for classes provided for in the
in the study plan and curriculum; improving professional qualifications in teaching competence and specialized vocabulary as part of the process of adapting them to the changing needs of the University; other teaching and organizational duties assigned by the head of the CJO or the Rector, including organizing language days, language festivals, training courses, etc.

Gross basic salary: lecturer (full-time, primary workplace) PLN 4,400 in words: four thousand four hundred)

Deadline for submission of documents: from 16.06.2023 to 30.06.2023.
After preliminary verification of the submitted offers, interviews will be held with selected candidates from 10.07.2023 to 14.07.2023.
Settlement of the competition will take place by: 28.07.2023 r.

The University reserves the right not to settle the competition without giving any reason. The result of the competition is not tantamount to the employment of the candidate, and is only a recommendation to the rector. The final decision on employment is made by the rector.
