The Rector of the Warsaw University of Live Sciences- SGGW in Warsaw annouces

a multi-stage competition for the position of Professor in a group of research and teaching staff  in the field: social sciences or humanities in discipline: sociology at the Institute of Sociological Sciences and Education in the Department of Sociology and Education.

The candidate applying for the above-mentioned position must meet the requirements specified in Art. 113 of the Act of July 20, 2018, Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668) and in paragraph 89, point 2) of the University Statute.

Skills/Qualifications

The candidate is expected to have:

- the title of professor in the field of social sciences or humanities in the discipline of sociological sciences (sociology), and having outstanding and internationally recognized scientific achievements in the field of sociological sciences;

- at least good knowledge of English or another congress language, to the extent that allows you to independently write scientific publications in this language and present reports at scientific conferences;

- knowledge of Polish to the extent necessary to conduct classes with students in this language.


Specific Requirements

The application for employment must be accompanied by the following documents:

1) employment application addressed to the Rector of SGGW;

2) personal questionnaire (the form is issued by the secretariat of the Institute of Sociological Sciences and Pedagogy of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences);

3) scientific biography (self-report) and CV;

4) a statement confirming compliance with the requirements of Art. 113 of the Act on Higher Education (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668) (the form is issued by the secretariat of the Institute of Sociological Sciences and Pedagogy of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences);

5) a copy of the diploma certified as a true copy of the original at the SGGW Organizational Office/copy of the diploma/certificate confirming the award of the title of professor in the field of social sciences or humanities in the discipline of sociological sciences (sociology);

6) confirmation of knowledge of English at least good enough to enable independent writing of scientific publications in this language and presenting reports at scientific conferences.
