Project description: Alternative Splicing Regulation in Embryonic Stem Cells

The successful candidate will work on project aimed at dissecting key molecular events during exit of embryonic stem cells from  pluripotency. We offer opportunity to employ high-throughput sequencing techniques including long-read and single cell RNA-seq, polysome-profiling or spliceosome profiling to determine changes in alternative splicing patterns during differentiation of stem cells. Candidate should show interest in understanding the implications of basic molecular processes and translating them into the stem cell context.

Key responsibilities include:

- Perform experiments using biochemical, structural and molecular biology techniques (independently and in collaboration with other team members),

- Participate in experimental design and data analysis,

- Participate in the data preparation and writing of manuscripts,

- Actively participate in lab meetings, scientific seminars and conferences.

Profile of candidates/requirements:

- PhD degree in molecular biology, biophysics, biochemistry or related fields of life sciences,

- Solid knowledge and familiarity with laboratory techniques in at least one of the following disciplines: molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, transcriptomics,

- Very good command of English,

- Motivation and passion for experimental work.
