Postdoc/Assistant Professor in iPSCs disease modeling

The Malopolska Centre of Biotechnology in Krakow is looking for a Postdoctoral Scientist to join the laboratory of Dr. Neli Kachamakova-Trojanowska. The successful candidate will be engaged in scientific project looking for the molecular background of increased endothelial permeability in iPSC-derived endothelial cells with mutation in HNF1A as occurring in HNF1A-MODY patients.

The postdoc candidate should have a strong expertise in endothelial biology or iPSCs field, extensive experience in gene editing techniques as well as hands on imaging and FACS techniques. Additional experience in cell calcium signaling analysis, bioinformatic analysis or cell functional metabolomics will be advantageous. We offer a full-time appointment, which is limited to two and a half years.

You have a PhD in Biology, Biochemistry or a related field and experience in endothelial biology, iPSCs field or CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing documented by relevant publications. We expect solid knowledge in advanced microscopic imaging and processing. Experience with cell calcium signaling analysis or cell functional metabolomics would be an additional advantage.

You are creative, highly motivated and you can work independently. Essential qualities include good organizational skills, fluency in English, a strong team spirit, and time management skills.
