Offer Description

The successful candidate will take an active part in conducting research planned in the grant
proposal “The role of varied retrieval in successful learning” (a brief description of the project
can be found here: https://ncn.gov.pl/sites/default/files/listy-rankingowe/2022-09-15 -
opu8jisl/streszczenia/573691-en.pdf). They will be responsible for preparing experimental
procedures, conducting experiments, as well as analysing experimental data and preparing
publications on their basis. Additionally, the successful candidate will be co-responsible,
together with the principal investigator, for supervising a doctoral candidate working on the
same project, and will be required to actively participate in regular lab meetings. Due to
project requirements, the successful candidate will need to be based in Poznań, Poland.

• Cover letter including candidate’s candidature submission, as well as research
interests and plans, and motivation for applying for this position;
• CV including: Masters and PhD thesis title, list of publications, list of conference
presentations, previous/current academic positions ;

educational qualifications (in case of academic degrees obtained abroad - the
documents must meet the equivalence criteria set out in Article 328 of the Act of
20 July 2018 Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2023, item

Selection process

The selection process
1. Competition committee begins working not later than 14 days after the
submission deadline
2. Formal evaluation of submitted proposals.
3. Call to provide additional or missing documents if necessary.
4. Selection of candidates for the interview stage.
5. Interviews for candidates who meet the formal requirements.
6. Announcement of results and feedback regarding candidates’ strengths and
weaknesses.
 


Additional comments

Prospects for professional development:
The successful candidate will be able to pursue their own research agenda (as long as this
will not undermine their work on the funded project). The research team will support them
in preparing publications based on this research, as well as in preparing future grant
applications. Conference funding will provide the successful candidate with networking
opportunities.

Type of an employment contract and expected duration of employment:
Fixed-term employment contract – 39 months
 

Monthly salary:
9,775.47 PLN gross
