We currently seek applicants for

Postdoc position in developing direct CVD growth methods for 2D MXene materials.

The selected candidate will be dedicated to work in an international bi-lateral GRIEG project operated by National Science Center (NCN) under the EEA and Norway Grants and is prepared in cooperation with the Research Council of Norway, grant PL-Basic Research-0026, “2D MXenes based anode materials for all-solid-state Li-ion batteries”.

Major responsibilities

• Implementation of research tasks related to the project.
• Collaborative and independent planning, conducting of CVD growth experiments of MXene 2D materials and other mechanical exfoliation approaches.
• Independent characterization and interpretation of research results.
• To work with a team of international researchers located in Poland and Norway.
• Scientific Communication of research results to other researchers in the project.
• Publishing of results in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and presentations at scientific conferences, public outreach activities.

Expectations:

• PhD degree in materials science/chemistry/physics or equivalent
• Proven hands on experience and knowledge of synthesis methods of 2D-materials, preferably CVD
• Research experience in characterization techniques of 2D-materials, preferably Raman Spectroscopy, SEM
• Proven track record of publishing in peer-reviewed scientific journal as first author
• Good command of English language (both spoken and written)
• Ability to work in teams and independently
• An additional advantage will be research experience with 2D materials (Graphene, MXenes) for battery applications.
