OFFER DESCRIPTION

We are looking for postdoctoral researcher to conduct interdisciplinary research in the area of enzymology, protein engineering, inhibitors design, and structural biology. We wish to understand the differences in structure-function relationship in closely related enzymes to provide safe and specific inhibitors for particular pests.

Full-time employment under the fixed period employment contract for 2 years with the possibility to extend to 4 years in the research project OPUS entitled “Design of high selective and safe juvenile hormone epoxide hydrolases inhibitors targeting selected pests based on the combination of analysis of intramolecular voids dynamics and enzymes evolution study” led by dr hab. Artur Góra

Skills/Qualifications

Documented scientific achievements in international journals in the field of microbiology, molecular biology, structural biology and/or enzymology

Documented participation in international scientific conferences and research projects

Knowledge of experimental techniques used in microbiology, structural biology, purification and modification of proteins, especially experience in isolating and obtaining transmembrane enzymes

Specific Requirements

1. Knowledge of computational methods, experience in working with insect expression systems and experience in working on alpha/beta hydrolases will be an additional advantage

2. High motivation and enthusiasm for research, independence, good organizational skills
