Offer Description
Post-doc position available in the Institute of Physical Chemistry PAS within NCN MAESTRO 11, no. 2019/34/A/ST5/00416, "Elaboration of unconventional nanostructured perovskites and zinc oxide through compositional and morphological engineering for game-changing improvements in light harvesting devices" (project leader: prof. dr hab. inż. Janusz Lewiński)
Main objectives of the project are directed to tackle challenges concerning either the perovskite absorber layer and the ZnO-based ETL. We plane to develop both mechanochemical processes for the preparation of highly advanced multicomponent MHP inks and controlled growth of MHP materials with various morphologies including single crystals, nanowires and unprecedented nanotubes/microtubes. In regard to ZnO-based ETL, new high-quality ZnO and metal-doped ZnO nanostructures will be elaborated using the one-pot self-supporting organometallic (OSSOM) procedure. Finally, the relationship between device performance and bulk physical properties of both MHPs and ZnO materials will be systematically investigated.
Responsibilities:
Post-doc will be involved in realization of the following research tasks:
- Compositional engineering of halide perovskites using mechanosynthesis and wet approaches.
- Development of high quality ZnO nanomaterials prospective for light harvesting devices.
- Fabrication of perovskite- and ZnO-based layers.
- Characterization of physicochemical properties of the resulting nanostructured materials.

Skills/Qualifications
- PhD degree in chemistry obtained no earlier than 7 years before the starting year of the employment in the project. For researchers with multiple PhDs, the date of the first PhD award is deemed the reference date. Extension might apply according to National Science Centre rulesSignificant research achievements in one of the project related fields.
- A strong publication record and scientific experience.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a group.
- Experience with the use of a Schlenk line and manipulation involving air-sensitive compounds.
- Knowledge for the application of modern spectroscopic methods in materials chemistry and electronic devices (NMR, FTIR, UV-Vis, PL, DLS, X-ray crystallography (PXRD) and/or electron microscopy).
