Offer Description
Post-doc position in the field of electronic materials at the modern research center CEZAMAT at the leading technical university in Poland – the Warsaw University of Technology.
Responsibilities:
– modeling of carbon nanotube synthesis reactions;
– modeling using classical molecular dynamics;
– modeling using DFTB methods;
– training your own sets of potentials for the tight binding method;
– data analysis;
– preparation of min. 3 scientific publications and publication in journals from the first decile of CiteScore;
– other tasks within the scope of duties, assigned by supervisor.

Skills/Qualifications
– Master’s degree and PhD in physics, chemistry or related sciences;
– knowledge about nanomaterials and their properties;
– programming skills in Python;
– experience in modeling using classical molecular dynamics;
– knowledge of the DFTB method and the ability to train one’s own sets of potentials for the tight binding method;
– fluency in English;
– documented publication record (at least 3 publications as first author in Q1 journals);
– ability to work in a group (documented experience of cooperation with experimentalists will be a strong asset);
– willingness to develop new simulation competences;
– knowledge of quantum ATK and ab initio methods is welcome.
