The Rector of Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences announces an open competition for the position of Assistant (F/M/N) in the Research Staff Group at the Institute of Biology, Division of Experimental Biology (part time).
Job Description:
- Implementation of tasks related to computational automation in the project “Low-Cost System for Real-Time Satellite Monitoring of Infrastructure Facilities and Land Areas” (FNP FENG.02.02-IP.05-0089/25), namely:
a) development of web service modules responsible for:
automatic processing of InSAR data,
periodic updating of the database and visualization of results on the web service;
b) collaboration on the integration of GNSS results with InSAR. - disseminating research results in the form of scientific publications in journals indexed in SCOPUS or Web of Science;
- participating in scientific conferences and symposia (both domestic and international);
participating in workshops and training sessions aimed at enhancing professional competencies.
Requirements:
- holds at least a master’s degree, a master’s degree in engineering, or an equivalent degree in geodesy, remote sensing, geoinformatics, or a related field;
project requirements: - proficiency in the Matlab and Python programming languages, and basic knowledge of C++;
- very good knowledge of GIS tools;
- experience in implementing tools or scripts related to the automation of calculations in the Earth sciences;
- proficiency in English at a minimum B2 level;
- Legal Compliance: Meeting the requirements specified in Art. 113 of the Act of July 20, 2018 — Law on Higher Education and Science (full public rights, full legal capacity, clean criminal record, no disciplinary penalties).

Candidates who do not hold a language certificate but meet the requirement of English proficiency at a minimum B2 level may submit a declaration confirming their English language skills. Their proficiency will be verified during the interview.
