2) Position title: Chief Specialist (Research Division) – Manager of the Hydrogen Technology and Catalysis Research Laboratory;

3) Number of vacancies: 1;

4) Employment type: Full-time;

5) Job/working conditions description: Work performed in an office environment with natural and artificial lighting. Office work involving screen-based tasks for more than 4 hours daily.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

1)           Leading and developing the Research Group in the field of hydrogen production and processing technologies;

2)           Initiating and coordinating research and development projects (national and international, including Horizon Europe);

3)           Building and developing project consortia (academic and industrial partners);

4)           Providing technical oversight of research activities and ensuring high-quality results;

5)           Developing research concepts, grant proposals, and project reports;

6)           Managing the research team (recruitment, mentoring, skills development);

7)           Overseeing research infrastructure and equipment;

8)           Collaborating with industry on the implementation and commercialization of results;

9)           Publishing research findings in reputable scientific journals and representing the Research Group at scientific conferences;

10)        Representing the unit in national and international expert bodies.

 

Additional requirements:

 

1)           Education in engineering-technical or exact sciences (e.g., chemical technology, chemical engineering, materials engineering, energy engineering, or related fields) is welcome;

2)           Experience in executing R&D projects funded by national or international sources;

3)           Experience in preparing technical proposals and cost estimates for research services;

4)           Experience collaborating with companies in the energy, chemical, petrochemical, biogas, or district heating sectors, or in industrial decarbonization;

5)           Experience in designing or developing technologies for biogas plants, CHP plants, chemical plants, hydrogen producers, or other industrial clients;

6)           Experience in developing new research methods and implementing them into laboratory operations;

7)           Experience in preparing technical documentation and acceptance documentation for research setups and installations;

8)           Knowledge of material characterization methods (e.g., SEM, XRD, BET, FTIR, Raman, DSC, TGA);

9)           Experience in modeling and simulating chemical, catalytic, or electrochemical processes (e.g., MATLAB, COMSOL Multiphysics, ANSYS);

10)        Knowledge of data acquisition systems, industrial automation, and SCADA systems;

11)        Experience in scaling up technologies from laboratory to pilot or demonstration scale;

12)        Knowledge of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), techno-economic assessment, and technology commercialization; 13)      Completed training courses or certifications in laboratory management, project management, quality management, or occupational safety;

14)        Documented scientific track record, achievements in implementation, or patent applications.
