OFFER DESCRIPTION

Institute of Ethnolinguistics at Adam Mickiewicz University (Poznań, Poland) seeks to appoint a foreign language teacher specializing in teaching Mandarin Chinese. We are looking for a highly motivated person with relevant knowledge and experience in teaching Chinese as foreign language, preferably with philological background. The selected candidate will be expected to teach Chinese to students of BA and MA levels. The teaching workload will be 360 hours per academic year.

Eligibility criteria

MA in philology

Native knowledge of spoken and written Mandarin Chinese

Experience in teaching Mandarin Chinese as foreign language

Fluency in traditional Chinese script

Fluency (B2 level) in Polish or English will be considered an advantage

Ability to teach courses on Taiwan culture will be considered an advantage

Selection process

Competition committee begins working no later than 14 days after the deadline for submission of documents.

Formal evaluation of submitted proposals.

Call to provide additional or missing documents if necessary.

Selection of candidates for the interview stage.

Interviews for candidates who meet the formal requirements.

The committee has the right to request external reviews of candidates' work or to ask candidates to conduct teaching assignments with an opportunity for student evaluation.

The chair of the competition committee announces the results and informs the candidates. This information will include justification with a reference to candidates' strengths and weaknesses. Submitted documents will be sent back to candidates.
