DEAN OF THE FACULTY OF SCULPTURE

ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS IN WARSAW

 announces a competition for the position of Leader of the Studio of Sculpture for Years 2–5 at the Chair of Sculpture, Faculty of Sculpture

Only persons who meet the requirements for employment as an academic teacher appropriate for the position, specified in the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on Higher Education and Science (Dz. U. z 2018 r. poz. 1668 z późn. zm.), the Act of 3 July 2018 - Regulations introducing the Act - Law on Higher Education and Science (Dz. U. z 2018 r. poz. 1669 z późn. zm.) and in the statutes of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, may apply.

PLACE AND CONDITIONS OF WORK :

 

Faculty: Sculpture

Chair/Studio: Chair of Sculpture / Studio of Sculpture for Years 2–5;

Position: adiunkt (Assistant Professor);

Type of contract: employment contract;

Type of employment: full-time;

Estimated annual teaching load: 210 hours;

Estimated date of employment: 01.10.2023;

COMPETITION REQUIREMENTS :

 

Artistic or scientific discipline: fine arts and art conservation

 

Requirements resulting from the Act and the Statutes:
- qualifications specified in the Act and the Statutes;

- clear disciplinary record, regarding penalties referred to in Article 276, clause 1, items 7 and 8 of the said Act;

- having fulfilled the requirements referred to in Article 20, clause 1, items 1-3 of the said Act.

 

Required qualifications:
- completed uniform master’s degree programme or second-cycle programme in the field of Sculpture;
- at least Doctor of Fine Arts degree;
- at least two years of teaching experience at an art university/academy;
- prodigious artistic output.

COMPETITION PROCEDURES:

Required documents:

  • - application to participate in the competition;
  • CV;
  • document confirming obtaining the degree of Doctor of Fine Arts;
  • personal data form with a photo;
  • document confirming having completed uniform master’s degree programme in Sculpture;
  • documentation of artistic output – portfolio covering at least the last 10 years (catalogues);
  • information on teaching achievements;
  • a proposed sylabus for the Studio of Sculpture for Years 2–5, covering issues related to sculpting techniques, working with a sculptural object and the issues of space in sculpture;
  • declaration of no criminal record;
  • declaration of consent to the processing of personal data.

The Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw does not provide housing.

The adjudication of the competition does not automatically result in the employment contract - the decision on the employment of the person selected in the competition is made by the Rector.

The Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw reserves the right to withdraw from the selection due to the failure to meet the requirements by any of the candidates.
