OFFER DESCRIPTION

Full-time position: Research work based mainly on computer simulations will be carried in the Institute of Experimental Physics, Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw, within the project "Spin noise spectroscopy of emerging materials for opto-spintronics" financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange. The successful candidate will be mainly responsible for creating and performing simulations of frustrated magnetic systems (including Artificial Spin Ices) in order to study new magnetic phases in such systems and their dynamics in external magnetic fields. The simulations will be mainly using Monte Carlo methods. The aim of the research is to explore new material systems with properties suitable for future spintronic and opto-spintronic devices. The research work of the successful candidate may be used for future PhD thesis in physics.

Candidates holding a PhD degree are also welcome to apply, the respective tasks will be accordingly

adjusted allowing for further scientific development.

Benefits

Full-time position based on contract of employment with associated vacation days according to Polish law. Remuneration: 100 000 PLN/ year (total employer cost).
