Offer Description
The expectation is that the candidate will conduct scientific research and publish its results, demonstrate activity in acquiring grants, and also engage in organizational work within the Department of Semiconductor Materials Engineering and the Faculty. The scientific scope includes issues related to semiconductor materials engineering, in line with the scientific profile of the Department of Semiconductor Materials Engineering at the Faculty of Fundamental Problems of Technology. This specifically involves photocatalytic processes with semiconductors and the characterization of semiconductor materials such as van der Waals crystals and hybrid structures formed based on these crystals.
Tasks:
- Conducting and directing scientific research in accordance with the research profile specified in the job description,
- Collaboration with external institutions, including foreign entities, in the scope of ongoing scientific and research work,
- Continuous professional development,
- Preparation of grant applications,
- Performing tasks assigned by superiors for the Department, Faculty, and University related to research and organizational activities.

- list of scholarships and awards granted via an open competition,
- experience in scientific supervision,
- information on academic and professional internships of at least 1 month,
- information on teaching achievements and competences,
- information on further scientific plans in the context of the activities of the Department of Experimental Physics of the Faculty of Fundamental Problems of Technology, Wrocław University of Science and Technology.

Salary:
The salary consists of the basic salary, a seniority bonus of 1% for each year of service, and 4% for completing doctoral studies. Additional bonuses are provided for scientific and research work efficiency, an extra annual bonus equivalent to one month's salary, and potential supplements for organizational involvement.
We offer a basic salary of no less than 6500 PLN.
The competition is open to candidates who meet the conditions set forth in the Act of 20 July 2018 - Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws 2022, item 574, as amended), in the Statute of Wrocław University of Science and Technology and in the Code of Ethics Employees of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology.

Applications of candidates will be considered by the competition committee.
Stage I. Evaluation of candidates on the base of submitted documentation in the categories:
- scientific activities and achievements, implemented projects, awards, scientific mobility (weight 70%),
- organizational activities (weight 30%).
Stage II. An interview including the presentation of previous scientific activity and planned scientific research. Only short-listed candidates are invited to the interview.
The final grade in each category is determined by the committee taking into account the interview process.
The University stipulates that the competition may be unresolved without giving reasons.
