We are looking for a highly qualified candidate for a professorship at a leading scientific institute in Poland, operating in the field of agricultural sciences, plant breeding, and plant biotechnology.

Skills/Qualifications

General requirements for the position of professor - obtaining the title of professor, confirmed by a copy of the document confirming the granting of the title.

Specific Requirements

Specific requirements for the position of professor at IHAR-PIB in Radzikow:

- Doctoral degree in agricultural sciences, discipline: biotechnology

- Promotorship in at least three completed doctoral dissertations.

- Documented internships in at least two foreign units.

- Scientific output with a cumulative impact factor IF>100 and Hirsch coefficient H>10.

• Knowledge of:

- issues concerning morphological, physiological and genetic determinants of functional traits, (including resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses) of agricultural plants and the study of populations of economically important fungal pathogens of useful plants,

- techniques of molecular cytogenetics of plants,

- techniques for conducting field and laboratory experiments related to genotyping and phenotyping of plants,

- recombination issues at the cytogenetic level,

- efficient methods of selection of plant materials,

- molecular methods for crop breeding,

- practical aspects of research project management.- Experience in:- Acquisition and management of scientific projects funded by NCN and NCBR and Biological Progress (MRI),- writing scientific publications,- cooperation with the economic environment,

- working with young researchers preparing their doctoral dissertations.
