Offer Description

The candidate should meet the conditions set out in the Law on Higher Education and Science of 10 March 2023 (Journal of Laws 2023, item 742, as amended) and in the UW Statute (Resolution No. 443 of the UW Senate of 26 June 2019 on the adoption of the UW Statute, Monitor UW of 2019, item 190).
Conditions of the competition:
 doctoral degree in social sciences;
 experience in implementing projects using national and EU funds (project manager preferred);
 research interests, including publications related to the history, organisation and transformation of the uniformed services in Poland, international cooperation of the Polish services(international organisations, UN and EU peacekeeping missions), border security and migration policy;
 teaching experience;
 additional education, including in the field of legal studies, will be an asset;
 experience in giving lectures and participating in scientific seminars;
 participating in conferences and national and international seminars, including presenting papers;
 involvement in popularising science (organisation of conferences, scientific debates).
Tasks:
 conducting didactic classes in Polish and English;
 acquiring knowledge in the field of educational quality (this applies to both teaching itself and its organisation);
 publishing papers in Polish and foreign journals and publications in the field of security;
 participating in organisational activities conducted in the Department and at the Faculty;
 obtaining and conducting research grants funded by Polish and international sources and publishing the results;
 organising, participating in and presenting papers at conferences, seminars in Poland and abroad, and debates;
 establishing and conducting scientific collaboration with Polish and foreign centres,

1. an application to His Magnificence Rector of the UW with a note on consent to the processing of personal data for the purposes of the recruitment process in accordance with the Act of 10 May 2018 on the protection of personal data (Journal of Laws 2018, item 1000).

3. list of publications in the field of security sciences,
4. confirmation of participation in research projects,
5. documents confirming experience in conducting didactic classes in Polish,
6. document confirming language skills,

9. declaration in which the candidate confirms that they have read and accept the rules governing competitions for the position of academic teacher at the University of Warsaw
The competition is the first stage of the procedure for hiring for the position of an academic teacher, as specified in the UW Statutes, and its positive outcome constitutes a basis for further proceedings.
The applicants will be notified by email of the results of the competition.
The documents should be submitted by regular mail or in person at the Dean's Office of the Department, Auditorium Building, ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście 26/28, pok. [room] 216 by 27.03.2024. The Competition will be resolved by 30.04.2024.

14. The provision of data within the scope of the Labour Code is mandatory, we process the remaining data with your consent to processing;
15. The data will not be shared with third parties;
16. The data will be stored for the following period: until you revoke your consent to the processing of your personal data;
17. You have the right to access your data and the right to rectify, erase and restrict the processing of your data, the right to submit an objection, the right to revoke your consent at any time.
18. You also have a right to file a complaint with the President of the Office for the Protection of Personal Data.
