Offer Description
The candidate should meet the conditions set out in the Law on Higher Education and Science of 20 July 2018 (Journal of Laws 2020, item 85, as amended) and in the UW Statute (Resolution No. 443 of the UW Senate of 26 June 2019 on the adoption of the UW Statute, Monitor UW of 2019, item 190).
Conditions of the competition:
doctoral degree in social sciences (humanities);
experience in research activities as grant manager;
experience in research activities as an implementer of international projects;
teaching experience;
additional education, including in the field of cultural studies, will be an asset;
experience in giving lectures and participating in international seminars;
participating in conferences and national and international seminars, including presenting papers;
activities aimed at science popularisation.
Tasks:
conducting didactic classes in Polish and English;
acquiring knowledge in the field of educational quality (this applies to both teaching itself and its organisation);
publishing in Polish and foreign journals and publications in the field of international relations;
participating in organisational activities conducted in the Department and at the Faculty;
obtaining and conducting research grants funded by Polish and international sources and publishing the results;
organising and participating in, including presenting papers at, conferences and seminars in Poland and abroad;
establishing and conducting scientific collaboration with Polish and foreign centres,
Required documents:
1. an application to His Magnificence Rector of the UW with a note on consent to the processing of personal data for the purposes of the recruitment process in accordance with the Act of 10 May 2018 on the protection of personal data (Journal of Laws 2018, item 1000).
2. photocopy of the doctoral diploma,
3. list of publications in the field of international relations sciences,
4. documents confirming participation in research projects,
5. documents confirming experience in conducting didactic classes in Polish and English,
6. document confirming language skills,
7. academic Curriculum Vitae,
8. completed forms available at the UW Human Resources Office website (https://bsp.adm.uw,edu,pl/bsp-druki-do-pobrania/-dla kandydata do pracy):
a) personal questionnaire for the applicant for employment;
b) signed notice on the processing of personal data
c) declaration that, in the event of employment, the University will be the candidate's primary place of employment,
9. declaration in which the candidate confirms that they have read and accept the rules governing competitions for the position of academic teacher at the University of Warsaw
The competition is the first stage of the procedure for hiring for the position of an academic teacher, as specified in the UW Statutes, and its positive outcome constitutes a basis for further proceedings.
The applicants will be notified by email of the results of the competition.
The documents should be submitted by regular mail or in person at the Dean's Office of the Department, Auditorium Building, ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście 26/28, pok. [room] 216 by 10 February 2024. The Competition will be resolved by 1 March 2024.

4. The data provided will be processed on the basis of art. 221 § 1 of the Act of 26 June 1974 the Labour Code (consolidated text: Journal of Laws 2018, item 917) and your consent to the processing of personal data;
5. The provision of data within the scope of the Labour Code is mandatory, we process the remaining data with your consent to processing;
6. The data will not be shared with third parties;
7. The data will be stored for the following period: until you revoke your consent to the processing of your personal data;
8. You have the right to access your data and the right to rectify, erase and restrict the processing of your data, the right to submit an objection, the right to revoke your consent at any time.
9. You also have a right to file a complaint with the President of the Office for the Protection of Personal Data.
