Skills/Qualifications

The competition is open to persons who meet the requirements of Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018. Law on Higher Education and Science (i.e. Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742, as amended.).

Qualification requirements :

- a master's degree in nutrition,

- doctoral degree in health and/or medical sciences,

- documented teaching activity,

- proficiency in computer skills and MS Office,

- author or co-author of publications published in the year preceding the application for this position, for which a total of 140 ministerial points have been obtained,

- publications with an IF score ≥ 10,

- good command of spoken and written English,

- in the case of foreigners, oral and written proficiency in Polish is required.


Specific Requirements

Required documents :

  • a written declaration of will  to participate in the competition, addressed to the Rector,
  • personal questionnaire for the person applying for employment,
  • scientific development plan,
  • certificate of no criminal record issued by the National Record of Convictions, pursuant to art. 21 of the Act on the prevention of sexual violence and protection of the minors of 13 May, 2016 (Journal of Laws 2024 item 560)
  • copies of documents confirming education and professional qualifications, in particular: higher education diploma, certificate of recognition of a foreign diploma as equivalent to a Polish one (if applicable),
  • other documents confirming your qualifications (a list of publications with IF scores, ministerial scores, certificates held, etc.)

  • The result of the competition is not tantamount to the employment of the candidate, but constitutes a recommendation in this respect to the Rector. The final decision on employment is made by the Rector.

  • Eligibility criteria

    Required statements :

    • statement of consent to process the personal data,
    • a statement declaring that if the applicant wins the competition, the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice will be the primary place of employment , according to the Law on Higher Education and Science,
    • statement of:
    • having full legal capacity,
    • enjoying full public rights,
    • not being convicted of an intentional crime or intentional fiscal offence by a valid sentence,
    • not being punished  with a disciplinary penalty referred to in Article 276(1)(7) and (8) of the Law on Higher Education and Science;
    • declaration of  no other citizenship than one of the Republic of Poland and no residence in countries other than the Republic of Poland and country of citizenship during the last 20 years, pursuant to art. 21 par. 4 and 5 of the Act on the prevention of sexual violence and protection of the minors of 13 May, 2016 (Journal of Laws 2024 item 560).
