Offer Description

Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Bialystok with the consent of the Rector and Faculty Council announces the competition for one position

Assistant Professor in a group of research and teaching staff  in the field of Mathematics at the Department of Analysis at the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Białystok

Working hours: full time,

Basis for establishing an employment relationship: employment contract as the primary place of work University of Białystok,

Expected employment period: two years with the possibility of extension to a permanent position,

Estimated start date: October 1, 2024,

Responsibilities: Annex No. 1

 

Conditions of the competition: 

The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions specified in the Law on Higher Education and Science of July 20, 2018, (Journal of Laws of 2021, item 478, with later amendment) and meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • PhD degree,
  • Scientific achievements, in the last 3 years, documented by publications in journals indexed in Journal Citation Reports and included in the ministerial List of Scientific Journals in the field of mathematics,
  • Communicative level of Polish, language
  • At least one year of work experience after obtaining the PhD,
  • Experience in conducting teaching classes and participation in research projects resolved in competitions.

    • Required documents:

  • An application for employment as an assistant professor addressed to the Rector.
  • Statement on meeting the conditions of use in Art. 113 of the Act of July 20, 2018, Law on Education and Science,
  • curriculum vitae,
  • personal questionnaire,
  • a copy of PhD diploma, in the field of mathematics
  • a self-report containing the characteristics of previous scientific, teaching and organizational experiences,
  •  list of scientific publications (including the number of points and attaching photocopies of the first pages of the publication),
  • declaration of knowledge of Polish to the extent that allows teaching classes with students.
  • a declaration that in the event of employment, the University of Białystok will be the candidate's primary place of work within the meaning of the Act mentioned in 2),
  • The candidate's declaration of consent to the processing of personal data, in accordance with General Data Protection Regulation  (GDPR),
  • Other documents the candidate wishes to attach.

    Competition results:

    The Competition Committee reserves the right to conduct an interview with candidates.

    The competition results will be announced by June 30, 2024.

    The competition may be closed or invalidated without selecting a candidate.

    There is no appeal against the decision of the Competition Commission.

    The decision on employment is made by the Rector of the University of Białystok.

    Documents issued in a foreign language should be translated into Polish.
