Offer Description

Supervision over the research and analysis of the performed tests on composite materials. The tests will be carried out in conditions of static and cyclic three-point bending with the mean value. Additionally, it will be necessary to design a handle for fatigue testing. An important part of the task will be the application of the DIC method to analyse the results. The work is connected with a project financed by NCN – “Experimental and numerical analysis of static and fatigue double-side bending of rubber matrix composites”.

Skills/Qualifications

The candidate should have:

1)   at least a doctoral degree in the discipline of mechanical engineering, which gives no earlier than 7 years before starting to use it in an application;

2)   knowledge and practical experience in testing composite materials;

3)   knowledge and practical experience in conducting research using digital image correlation (DIC);

4)   knowledge of strength analyzes for both statics and variable loads;

5)   Hirsch index (h-index) at least 5 (according to the SCOPUS Database or Web of Science);

6)   documented scientific research indexed in the Scopus or Web of Science database in the discipline of mechanical engineering - published in high-IF journals, with particular emphasis on Q1;

7)   competences enabling the internationalization of scientific activities, including experience in scientific cooperation with various scientific units, with particular emphasis on foreign units;

8)   experience in conducting international scientific activities (stays in foreign research centers);

9)   a certificate confirming the ability to use English in speech and writing at least at the level of: C1;

10) doctorate defended with distinction;

11) qualifications specified in Annex No. 2 to the Regulations for granting funds for the implementation of tasks financed by the National Science Center in the field of research projects, specified in the resolution of the NCN Council No. 60/2022 of June 9, 2022, i.e.

a)   the project manager was not the supervisor or auxiliary supervisor of his doctoral dissertation;

b)   the candidate obtained a doctoral degree in an entity other than the entity where employment in this position is planned, or completed at least 10-month, continuous and documented postdoctoral internship in an entity other than the entity implementing the project and in a country other than the country of obtaining the doctoral degree;

c)    during the period of receiving this remuneration, he will not receive any other remuneration from funds allocated as direct costs from research projects financed under NCN competitions ;

d)   during the period of receiving this remuneration, he will not receive remuneration from another employer under an employment contract, including from an employer based outside the territory of Poland .
