Offer Description

The position of assistant professor is offered for the person having a PhD degree in the field of Electrical Engineering and experienced in modelling, design and experimental investigations of power electronics converters with a special focus on multilevel topologies and SiC/GaN devices. The Candidate will be obligated to conduct research in this field both solely and in cooperation with the team and publish the research results in scientific conferences and recognized journals from the JCR list. Additionally, the candidate will be obligated to conduct lectures and laboratories in the field of power electronics preparation and actualization of the materials and instructions for students. The supervision of the BSc and MSc projects covers part of the didactic responsibilities.

Eligibility criteria
  • to have completed higher education with a master’s degree or equivalent
  • to have a PhD degree in the discipline of Automation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Space Technologies
  • to have a very good command of English (another foreign language)
  •   to have a scientific profile related to the specialization of the Industrial Electronics Division power electronics)
  • to have knowledge of issues related to the design of power electronic converters based on new semiconductor technologies, including multi-level converters;
  • to have experience in conducting simulation and experimental research in the field of power electronics;
  • to have a proven ability to prepare scientific publications in top journals related to the discipline of Automation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Space Technologies;
  • to have experience in preparing project applications in both university and external calls for (NCN, NCBiR);
  • to have completed scientific internships in foreign scientific units
  • to have teaching experience
