Offer Description

We are seeking a candidate for the position of research and didactic assistant professor in the discipline of electronics engineering with experience in high-frequency technology. In addition to the obligation to conduct scientific research, the successful candidate will be expected to publish the results of this research, obtain research grants for Warsaw University of Technology, and also fulfil at least 240 hours of didactic units per academic year.

Skills/Qualifications
  • Completion of higher education and obtaining a master's degree or equivalent title in electronics or telecommunications.
  • Possession of a doctoral degree.
  • Very good command of the English language, confirmed by a diploma, certificate, or publications.
  • Very good command of the Polish language, enabling the conduction of teaching activities.
  • Experience in teaching in English.
  • Aptitude for conducting research, confirmed by publications.
  • Experience in leading scientific research.
  • Experience in presenting research findings at international scientific conferences.
  • Readiness for continuous development of engineering, scientific, and teaching skills.

  • Specific Requirements
  • Scientific profile related to the activities of the Laboratory of Field Methods in Microwave and Subterahertz Technology.
  • Experience in electromagnetic modeling using full-wave simulators enabling analysis in both time and frequency domains (e.g., QuickWave).
  • Experience in modeling and designing linear and nonlinear microstructural optical fibers.
  • Knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of resonance and transmission-reflection methods for characterizing dielectric and ferromagnetic materials in the millimeter-wave range, confirmed by participation in research projects and publications.
  • Experience in conducting research and development on measurement systems utilizing open Fabry-Perot resonators operating in the millimeter-wave range, confirmed by participation in research projects and publications.
  • Programming skills in C++ and Matlab.
