The candidate will be responsible for conducting basic research aimed at (1) understanding the mechanism of action of potential active substances and drugs targeting SARS-CoV-2, (2) determining the application possibilities for newly synthesized substances - immunomodulators in inflammatory reactions (through molecular analyzes, genetic and cellular (in vitro and ex vivo). The candidate should have theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of genetics and molecular biology methods (PCR, RT-PCR, ELISA, flow cytometry), cell culture, microscopic techniques, e.g. phase-contrast, SEM, CLSM.

Candidates are required to have:

1) completed higher education with a Master's degree or equivalent;

2) a PhD degree obtained no longer than 7 years ago (preferably in biology, biotechnology, or related);

3) a scientific profile related to the specialization of biology confirmed by publications, participation in the projects;

4) knowledge and experience in molecular biology and genetics;

5) knowledge in the field of cell culture techniques, microbiology/virology;

6) experience in working in cleanroom laboratories will be an advantage;

7) ability to present research results, good organization of work, communication skills;

8) good knowledge of English in speech and writing, allowing for active participation in international scientific conferences, free work with English-language scientific literature, and submission of applications for grants, including international cooperation.
