of the Faculty of Modern Languages, University of Warsaw invites applications for the position

of Assistant Professor (research-teaching staff)

at the Institute of Iberian and Ibero-American Studies.

Number of positions – one

Job status – full time

Type of contract – time-limited contract – 2 years

Envisaged job starting date – 1st October 2022

Requirements:

The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions set out in art. 113 of the Act on Higher Education and Science (Dz. U. 2022 r., poz. 574), and who meet requirements: a minimum of a doctoral degree; research focus in the field of pedagogy and Brazilian studies, research interests in the field of glottodidactics (foreign language acquisition and teaching), at least five years of experience in teaching at a university level, experience in conducting classes on pedagogy and classes of the Portuguese language as a foreign language (Brazilian version) at various levels of university teaching, participation in research groups, including international ones, scientific achievements in the form of up-to-date scientific publications and potential for further research development, excellent knowledge of the Portuguese, Spanish and Polish languages (near to native), declaration that the University of Warsaw will be the primary workplace.

Main duties of the position: supervision over the teaching module in the Portuguese section, teaching for the obligatory annual number of teaching hours (hourly requirement), carrying out scientific researches and development works on topics covered by the University and related to own scientific development, and publishing their results, education of teaching Staff, organisation of and participation in scientific conferences and symposia, organisational duties for example: participation in works of the examination committees, in meetings of collegial bodies at the University.
