University of Wroclaw invites applications for the position of assistant professor (post-doc) at the Department of Biophysics at the Faculty of Biotechnology

Applications are invited from those who fulfil the statutory requirements specified in the Higher Education Act from 20th July 2018 (Dz. U. z 2018 r., poz. 1668), statutes of the University of Wroclaw and in the requirements for postdoc of the National Science Centre (resolution of the National Science Centre: NCN nr 60/2019 from 13 of June 2019).

Key words: biochemistry, biophysics, cell biology, ER stress, UPR, miRNA, IRE1

Expectations:

PhD in biological, chemical, or medical sciences, disciplines: biochemistry, biophysics, cell biology, molecular biology, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, medical sciences.

First author of at least one experimental paper published in a journal from JCR list with IF over 3.

Scientific interest and hands-on experience in techniques from biochemistry, molecular and cell biology fields.

Experience in the experimental work and in preparation of scientific manuscripts and project proposals.

High interest and motivation for scientific work, good communication skills.

Good knowledge of written and spoken English.

High level of independence in a daily work, but still able to work efficiently as a team member.

Preferred previous experience with techniques related to ER stress analysis, miRNA, Wb or NGS.

Responsibilities:

In the research area:

Conducting experiments.

Analysis of data.

Preparation of reports.

Participation in scientific group meetings, literature studies.

Preparation of scientific publications.

Participation in scientific conferences.

In the organizational area:

Participation in scientific meetings, seminars.

Preparation of scientific publications.

Active participation in scientific conferences, organization.

Participation in project promotion activities as well as mentoring PhD and graduate students.

Salary: 7296 -7608 brutto PLN brutto-brutto /per month.
