DESCRIPTION (subject, expectations, additional information):

The aim of the competition is to fill the position of an assistant professor in the group of research and teaching staff at the Institute of Management (Department of Economy and Finance Management) full-time, at the Pomeranian University in Slupsk as the primary workplace.

 

Tasks:

  • conducting classes with students in the field of broadly understood economy, finances and accountancy, from Monday to Friday in full-time studies and from Friday to Sunday in part-time studies,
  • conducting scientific research and disseminations of their results as publications with the affiliation to Pomeranian University in Slupsk
  • initiating and participating in the research -development projects at the academic level
  • organizational work for the Pomeranian University.

 

A candidate for the position of assistant should have:

  • having a doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in economy or economy and finances
  • holding a certificate as a chief accountant/and or accounting services expert
  • having professional experience gained outside the university in the field of economics and finance and accounting, including employment in specialized accounting positions in the business sector
  • having professional experience gained outside the university in the development and implementation of financial and accounting projects in enterprises
  • scientific publications in the discipline of economics and finances in the area of accountancy  (including authorship at least of 6 scientific articles)
  • at least 5 years of teaching experience in working with students (academic level) including at least 2 years of employment as  research- didactic adjunct (assistant professor)
  • experience in teaching academic subjects in the field of accounting and financial reporting
  • motivation for scientific development
  • fluent command of the Polish language in speech and writing
  • good command of at least one foreign language
  • ability to work in a team and collaborate
