Requirements | The competitive selection process is open for all individuals, who meet the requirements set out in Articles 113 and 116.2.3) of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science, and who meet the following eligibility criteria according to § 165 of the Statute of the Jagiellonian University: · holding at least a doctoral degree; · having relevant scientific achievements; · taking active part in scientific life. |
Additional requirements and expectations | Eligibility and project criteria: · Obtaining PhD degree no earlier than 7 years before the year of the employment in the project. · Obtaining PhD degree which has been awarded by another institution than the one planned to employ them at this post i.e. Jagiellonian University. · In the last two years before taking up employment in the project, the person was not employed under an employment contract in the entity where the research project will be implemented. Other criteria: · PhD degree in molecular biology or similar (biology, biochemistry, medical biology, biotechnology); · Extensive experience in cell biology and gene editing techniques (CRISPR/Cas9); · or experience in cell calcium signaling analysis; · or experience in structural modeling of proteins; · Experience with endothelial cells and/or bioinformatic analysis or cell functional metabolomics will be advantageous; · English language at minimal B2+ level; ability to read, understand and write in scientific English; · usage and knowledge of computer software; · the successful candidate should have teamwork abilities, solicitude and scientific activity; · can-do attitude; desire to learn and apply new research techniques. |

Scope of duties
| according to the Work Regulations of the Jagiellonian University Annex 1 to the Work Regulations of the Jagiellonian University – Model scopes of responsibilities and duties of academic teachers. The candidate's responsibilities will include: · planning the experiments carried out as part of the project, · collecting and drawing conclusions from the data obtained in order to plan further experiments, · assisting less experienced members of the project team in other research carried out in the group, · supervising the daily work of technicians and assisting the PI in the preparation of figures and manuscripts for publication. |
