Offer Description

Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering is looking for a person for the position of assistant professor in the research and teaching staff group - work in Department of Sanitary Engineering. Laboratory work as part of the research planned in the grant and computer work in connection with data analysis and preparation of scientific publications.

TASK
- teaching in Polish and English
- conducting scientific research in the fields of environmental engineering, environmental biotechnology, molecular biology
- applying for projects to national and international competitions
- participation in the preparation of scientific publications presenting project results
- presentation of research results at conferences and seminars
- conducting popular science lectures to popularizing science

REQUIREMENTS
- graduated study with a degree in biotechnology or environmental engineering
- doctoral degree in the discipline of environmental engineering, mining and energy
- good knowledge of molecular biology techniques such as Real-Time PCR and next-generation sequencing (NGS) confirmed by minimum 2 scientific publications
- good knowledge of techniques for performing physical and chemical analyses confirmed by minimum 2 scientific publications
- good knowledge of processes and technologies for biological wastewater treatment confirmed by minimum 2 scientific publications
- experience in ecotoxicological studies confirmed by minimum 2 scientific article
- experience in research on biological hydrogen production confirmed by minimum 1 scientific article
- experience in conducting research within national and international projects (participation in at least 3 projects, including minimum 1 international project)
- at least 2 publications of international scope having the number of MNiSW points equal to 200 at the time of submission
- at least one month's research internship at a reputable foreign scientific and research institution
- proficency in English at level B2 confirmed by a certificate
- category B driver's license

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- ability to use metagenomic data analysis software (CLC Genomics Workbanch, STAMP)
- statistical data analysis skills
- experience in popularizing science activities
- teamwork skills
- very good organizational skills
- ability to work under time pressure
