Offer Description

Department of Geodesy in Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering is looking for a person for a position of an Assistant Professor (research area: remote sensing). Job status: full time or negotiable.

TASK/ROLE
- teaching classes in Polish and English
- conducting scientific research in the field of: remote sensing and geo-spatial data analysis
- publishing research results in reputable journals

REQUIREMENTS
- a doctoral degree in the discipline of civil engineering, geodesy and transport or in a similar discipline
- at least 3 years of experience in working as an academic teacher
- predispositions for didactic work in the field of remote sensing, spatial information systems, classical and modern measurement techniques
- readiness to conduct classes in Polish and English
- having at least five articles published in reputable scientific journals, indexed on the JCR list, in the field of remote sensing
- good knowledge of English in speech and writing (min. C1 level)
- interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to work in a multicultural environment
- team working skills

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- participation in at least one research project as a project manager or contractor
- programming skills in the selected language (e.g. C++, Python, Java)
- Hirsch index at least at level 5 according to the Scopus database
