DESCRIPTION ( subject, expectations, comments):

Candidates  should meet the conditions set out in the Act of 20.07.2018 Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 30 August 2018, item 1668) and the Statute of the University of Kazimierz Wielki in Bydgoszcz.

REQUIREMENTS:

• PhD degree in mathematics
• publication output adequate to the degree of scientific career development , meeting the requirements of the UKW statute (par. 104 section 2 item 1), in particular, in the last 3 years, publication output in highly rated journals belonging to the discipline of mathematics,
• experience in conducting classes with students, including using remote techniques,
• knowledge of the English language at a level that allows conducting classes and scientific work,

 

Fluent command of Polish spoken and written is required for foreigners.

 

An additional advantage will be:

• proven experience in raising funds for scientific activities or the popularization of science.

 

In particular, from the candidate is expected:

 

• Conducting research in the mathematics discipline,
• Publishing research results in reputable high-score scientific journals.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:

an application addressed to the Rector,

CV and cover letter,

personal questionnaire, constituting Annex 1 to Regulation No. 43/2018/2019 of the UKW Rector of June 14, 2019,

a photo,

a document confirming obtaining a doctoral degree in mathematics,

copies of employment certificates from completed employment relationships,

declaration confirming that Kazimierz Wielki University will be the primary workplace of the candidate, Annex 2 to Regulation No. 43/2018/2019 of the UKW Rector of June 14, 2019,

documents confirming the fulfillment of the requirements specified in the competition announcement, in particular the list of publications,

information on scientific, didactic and organizational achievements,

declaration on compliance with the requirements set out in the Act of 20.07.2018 Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668, as amended), Annex 3 to Regulation No. 43/2018/2019 of the UKW Rector of June 14, 2019,

the submitted documents should bear a criminal awareness clause for giving false testimony in accordance with art. 233 § 1 of the Penal Code, Annex 4 to Regulation No. 43/2018/2019 of the UKW Rector of June 14, 2019.

 

 

REMARKS:

Documents submitted or sent after the deadline for submission will not be considered, the date of the postmark is decisive.

 

All documents should be prepared or translated into Polish. Documents confirming obtaining a professional title, academic degree, academic title or equivalent, obtained abroad, should meet the requirements of equivalence set out in Art. 326, art.327 or art. 328 of the Act of July 20, 2018. Law on Higher Education and Science, in particular at the time of submitting documents, the candidate's nostrification procedure should be completed.

 

Applications that do not meet the formal requirements will not be considered.

 

On the basis of the submitted documents, the competition committee will select the candidate in accordance with the order of the UKW Rector.

 

The Institute of Mathematics UKW reserves the right to contact only selected candidates and the right to notify only the selected candidate of the decision made regarding the award of the competition. Failure to inform the candidate about the results of the competition is tantamount to rejection of his offer. The Institute of Mathematics does not return offers sent by post.

 

The Institute of Mathematics UKW reserves the right not to adjourn the competition without giving a reason. The competition may be closed without selecting a candidate.

 

Winning the competition does not guarantee employment, it is only a recommendation for the Rector. The final decision on employment is made by the Rector.

 

Deadline for adjudication of the competition: 8.07.2024.

 

Planned employment: from October 1, 2024.
